We Choose Respect is dedicated to giving parents the information they need to help their kids grow to be happy, healthy and respectful. The show features interviews with authors and parenting experts from around the World. The show's host is Jed Doherty, also known as Jedlie, a former licensed, certified social worker who has been presenting motivational magic shows at schools, churches and public events throughout the US and Puerto Rico since 1983.

Laura Johnston Khol was an idealistic young woman who wanted to care for others. That desire to care led to her to become a member of a church known as The People's Temple. The charismatic leader of that church, Jim Jones, led his people to create a community in the jungles of Guyana called Jonestown, the scene of the most horrific mass murder. Laura shares the horrors of that experience.

Tia facilitates workshops that focus on emotional healthiness and personal accountability, she has touched the lives of parents and youth in schools, in the juvenile justice system, and in social services across the nation.

Her experience is in the juvenile justice system of San Diego, CA, where she has held numerous positions that include student worker, family support worker, SAY San Diego, CAT Team, WINGS Program Coordinator, and church services leader with volunteers of probation.

Tegan was initially invited on to talk about the benefits of exposing our kids to different cultures. However in the days leading up to the interview the World was horrified by the events that tore Paris apart. Tegan was kind enough to share her thoughts on how we can talk to our kids about terrorism. Tegan also shares with us some of her understanding of how young people are literally being brainwashed into committing terrorist acts.
