We Choose Respect is dedicated to giving parents the information they need to help their kids grow to be happy, healthy and respectful. The show features interviews with authors and parenting experts from around the World. The show's host is Jed Doherty, also known as Jedlie, a former licensed, certified social worker who has been presenting motivational magic shows at schools, churches and public events throughout the US and Puerto Rico since 1983.

The Sports Doctor is in!!! Dr Bob Weil is known as the Sports Doctor. Dr Bob specializes in podiatric medicine, orthotics and sports medicine. He has written a column for the Naperville Sun and Aurora Beacon since 2007 as “The Sports Doctor”.  His goal is to provide sports medicine information to athletes, their families, coaches and all readers.

Dr Bob is also the  host of a weekly radio show, “The Sports Doctor” on Healthy Life.net. On this show he addresses current topics in medicine and sports and often include guest speakers who bring a wealth of knowledge from their various professional backgrounds.

The Sports Doctor has worked with many prominent local athletes including 2010 Olympic Figure Skating champion Evan Lysacek, four-time IHSA state tennis champ and former UCLA player Liz Lumpkin, and the 2010 girl’s state tennis champion Jasmine Minor.

In this interview Dr Bob gives parents great insight into overuse injuries, how to support their young athletes, (and remember dancers are athletes) and how important it is to encourage kids to be active.

Today most of our kids are walking around with what is basically a seriously powerful computer in their pockets that allows them to communicate with anyone around the world, to send pictures and videos, the device gives others access to our kids in our homes. Powerful technology that could pose a danger to our families.

Ben Halpert is a guy who recognizes the need to give parents the resources they need to not only teach their kids how to be safe when they are on line but also how to use technology responsibly, to make sure they are not using technology to hurt others, to make sure they are not breaking the law in the way they are using technology. He created his web site SavvyCyberKids.org to give parents the resources they need to meet this challenge.

Topher Wurtz is the founder of Austism Village, a soon to be released app that will help families with children with Austism find Autism friendly services. In this interview Topher tells us that one in 68 children born will be diagnosed as falling somewhere within the Austism spectrum. His new app will help open more opportunities for kids with autism. Topher also has advice for families who are challenged when their child is diagnosis with autism.

The book's author and illustrator, Richard Torrey, talks to us about how he was inspired to create this story. he also speaks about the importance of reading with your children, and how to encourage children to find their creative voice.
